I've gone through the process of registering at Quakenet and I go by the name Zhentharim (what a surprise!)

Edit (20:00 CET): Atmoz gave me mod, he's not sure if its perma. I'm wondering if there is a more user-friendly mIRC version? I can barely keep up with the chat. :z

Edit #2 (20:40 CET): After talking to Vodoo he got me perma modded. So that issue is solved.

The main reason for this edit is to bring to light gIRC. After asking Vodoo for a more eye-friendly IRC version, he directed me to Gamers IRC. This is what my PoV looks like now: http://i56.tinypic.com/erhriu.jpg
