Eclypsia with female LoL team!
Team by Methis 3 years, 2 months ago

The new French multi-gaming team has picked up a female League of Legends squad, shortly after the announcemnet of their professional League of Legends male team.  Eclypsia LoL.Female is lead by Mélanie "Kiilys" Aguiar. you can read a full interview with her on the Eclypsia website.

The team is comprised of five girls who have been picked up by the Eclypsia management and will participate in online tournaments.

We managed to conduct a short interview with Amélie "Mel" Nay, the AP Carry of the team!

Please introduce yourself!

Hello, my name is Amélie "Mel" Nay, the AP player of Eclypsia.Girls. I started playing video games on gaming consoles, when I was younger I really loved to play Halo. Aside from playing League of Legends I also focus on studying Economics.

How do you feel about being recruited by Eclypsia, a new but already big French organisation?

I am really excited to play for Eclypsia, it's a new multi-gaming organisation with many good players for Starcraft 2 and an incredibly good League of Legends line-up. The management of Eclypsia is also very cool!

Do you think that your team can compete with the current competitive scene in League of Legends?

I think that with the current state of the team it is impossible to be on the same level as aAa (against All authority), Counter Logic Gaming or Moscow Five for example. I know my level on this game, I am definately not bad but we are not good enough to compete with teams like that. However, I am sure that we can level ourselves with other teams in GoFRLoL, Go4LoL and 4PL.

Are you girls going to participate in online tournaments on a weekly basis? And how are you going to practice?

Kiilys (team-captain) is the only one with experience in eSports, the rest of us is completely new. Our team captain played in offline tournaments before and was a player for the organisation Pyro Gen. As for the training, you will be able to see it in Eclypsia TV soon. We want to show results with our team playing League of Legends, I can't tell you with what intensity we will practice but we are 100% sure we want to do something with League of Legends and eSport.

Are you going to practice against the male League of Legends team from Eclypsia aswell?

Uhm, haha, I don't know yet but I would really like to!

Now that you play for a professional organisation, are you going to work hard to break through in the competitive scene?

We want to break through in the competitive League of Legends for sure, and we will practice very hard to reach this.

Is there something you want to say at the end of our interview?

First I want to thank you for this interview, secondly I want to thank the Eclypsia management so much! I hope that everyone who reads this will follow us and support us!

i dont get it why it has to be full female team. i tought if you are good enough to be a progamer no matter woman or man you would get recognized, but trying to get recognision by making a "girl gamers team" is quite weird for me. They seem to have not bad elo tho 1600-1650.

i really never understood why people separate guys from girls on esports...its not like there'll be physicall confrontation, its just stupid, we all should play together

Really looking forward to this team, I just hope that they don't get favored in tournament seeds/invites just because they are a female team.
