vs Team8 - Smooth Sailing
[ Match Page ] [ Stats Page ]

The era of top-laners carrying is no longer of the past. ZionSpartan put on the carry pants with the help of Xmithie to snowball CLG's early game into dominant performances across all lanes. Team8 could not get a foothold in the game, despite a superior teamfighting composition. The pure damage from CLG's team composition along with the vast gold disparity allowed CLG to breeze through teamfights despite perfect setups from Team8. In one instance, Team8 managed to land all their AoE spells and crowd control and still lost the fight. All it took was great poke play from Pobelter, followed by the damage and engage from Rumble and Sivir. Good game Team8.

vs Team SoloMid - Tempered Fate

The ball couldn't quite get rolling this game. Rather, it was like watching a ball slowly roll down a hill only to be met by the uphill path. Lustboy on Bard controlled the fate of the game from start to finish. An early harass onto Xmithie's jungle start prevented it from being started on time, slowed it down due to the leashers trying to keep Lustboy off of Xmithie, and consequently lowered Xmithie's effective health in his first jungle clear. This impact Xmithie's ability to create early game pressure since he spent a crucial amount of time trying to catch back up in gold and experience. Although CLG had strong late-game carries in Azir and Kalista, Lustboy showed the correct use of Bard's ultimate in teamfights by locking down CLG's backline. The one instance Lustboy did not put Doublelift and Pobelter into stasis, allowed the two CLG carries to style on Team SoloMid. He did not make the same mistake in subsequent teamfights however, and by the time the two carries came out of stasis - their frontline was already dead.
