Plantronics, known for sponsoring the Electronic Sports World Cup and hosting numerous events, has announced their first League of Legends tournament, Face-Off! The format is similar to King of the Hill, as seen in tournaments from organizations such as in2LOL or WellPlayed. Plantronics GameCom has quite a unique way to decide which teams will go head-to-head for the $500 cash prize. A Clash of  Titans is guaranteed with the Elite of North America being lined-up to be voted for.
This month's Face-off showcases the top five teams from North America taking on community favorite, Team Solo Mid.
  •  Counter Logic Gaming NA
  •  team Curse
  •  team Dignitas
  •  Team Dynamic
Fans are being given the chance to vote for which team they want to see in the tournament, so head on over to the Plantronics GameCom Facebook page and cast your vote! By voting you will be automatically entered into a prize draw, where you could win a Plantronics GameCom 780 headset. When the final votes have been counted, the two chosen teams will battle it out in a live broadcasted match. Voting will close on Friday 10th August 2012 at 8pm EDT.

I know it would suck for CLG with the ping but that's who I voted for. They are the team I root for and the content we get out of them in Korea is little so even with ping it's something. I'm sure they talked with them anyway before putting them in the poll.

I agree, one of the worst things is having your opponent take advantage of ping difference and have people say that ping is a negligible handicap.

Hopefully doesn't get voted. I mean it would be nice to the classic TSM vs CLG . But has given up on the NA scene tournaments after the ping difference, I would rather see one of the other three teams compete.

I agree, I much rather see Dignitas than CLG while they're in Korea.
