vs Team Dragon Knights - Brawling

The game started out ugly for the CLG squad, but as Coach Chris said at the end of the game, "Good players can get ahead. Great teams win from behind." A look at the end game screenshot would show a deceiving 10k gold lead at the end of the game - a testament to the team's ability to bounce back from a deficit, but also hiding their mistakes in the early game. A miscommunicated skirmish in the bottom lane early in the game resulted in two kills going in TDK's favor. Seraph made a great teleport down bottom, during an attempted gank by Xmithie, that was not followed up by ZionSpartan due to miscommunication. Shortly after, CLG's bottom lane duo attempted an all-in that resulted in another two kills going TDK Lattman's way. TDK used their early advantage to secure four consecutive dragons throughout the game. CLG pulled it together during teamfights however, and won a key fight near Baron at the 31-minute mark. They continued to win fights and drove back TDK to their nexus for a 38-minute victory.

vs Cloud 9 - The Pinkyless Penta

The team showed a great ability to adapt and play to their strengths throughout the game in a convincing win against Cloud 9. Xmithie put down his foot and made a mark in the early game by assisting ZionSpartan in three consecutive successful ganks against Balls. Getting Zion going early was important as it gave him the gold to get tanky enough to disrupt Cloud 9's backline in almost every teamfight. Whenever the fights looked even, ZionSpartan made sure that they edged out in CLG's favor with great multi-champion Gnar ultimates. Incarnation on Cloud 9 played an equally great Azir by making plays to keep Cloud 9 in the game. After a small heart-attack inducing misplay by Xmithie, the team showed off the power of Doublelift on Ashe in a final teamfight in Cloud 9's base - The Pinkyless Pentakill.
