vs Gravity - A Clean "Execution"

It has been a while since the LCS has seen a cleanly won game from start-to-finish. Gravity, a team on the brink of contention last split, has come into playoff form over the course of the Summer Split after having beaten both CLG and TSM this weekend. Utilizing a well thought out composition that can create picks, teamfight, and apply global pressure - Gravity took hold of their initial lead and snowballed the game in their favor. Although CLG had a solid composition in their own right, Gravity ended a game that was by all accounts an even game at the 19-minute mark in eight minutes. If looking at the end score, one might think that Gravity snowballed the game from the laning phase. But it wasn't the case at all. Gravity rightfully sits at first place alongside TSM after Week 6 of the NA LCS Summer Split.

It doesn't hurt to try again after a single failure. Indeed it looked like the previous game against Gravity was a poor indicator of the strength of CLG's "Juggernaut Jinx" composition. An early outplay by Doublelift put CLG on the fast track to victory. With deep ward coverage and constant pressure, the team made pick after pick to retain a solid 3k gold lead over TiP. For seventeen minutes from the 12-minute mark, that gold lead never wavered. CLG still managed to acquire towers and four dragons to TiP's zero. But a powered up Runeglaive Ezreal forces opposing teams to play on a knife's edge for the rest of the game. Once XiaoWeiXiao managed to get the relevant core items, it was clear that CLG could no longer hope to push and siege towers. Every Ezreal ultimate that landed before a fight, forced CLG members to base giving TiP free objective control. After a misplay at dragon by CLG, TiP turned on the late-game engine that is Runeglaive Ezreal and quickly ended the game.
