CLG partners with Azubu
Burbank, California, January 16th, 2013 – Counter Logic Gaming (CLG), one of the world’s premier professional gaming organizations today announces its extensive partnership with Azubu, a fervent eSports supporter and leader.
Partnership with Azubu
Today CLG is excited to announce its partnership with eSports media giant, Azubu. Though they’ve been around less than a year, Azubu has already made a significant impact on the eSports scene through their sponsorship of The Champions League, Collegiate Star League, League of Legends team Frost and Blaze, and their deep StarCraft 2 team including viOLet, Genius, NaDa, and others. CLG will be working closely with Azubu on several projects already deep in development and many others to come in the future in order to bring more frequent and higher quality content into the eSports consumer’s media sphere.
Azubu North America
In addition to their new partnership with CLG, Azubu has expanded west, and opened their new office in Santa Monica, California. The Azubu North America office will be led by Mark “Garvey” Candella serving as General Manager. From here Azubu NA will be working closely with their new North American partners to further their efforts to expand the growth of eSports globally.
CLG and Azubu Collegiate League
As a part of their partnership, CLG will be working alongside Azubu NA in pushing to bring the collegiate League of Legends scene to a more prominent state. CLG is excited by the dedication and enthusiasm Azubu has shown regarding the growth of the college eSports scene, particularly in their efforts to keep students in school through donations of scholarships.
AzubuTV and CLG
We are also excited to announce that Azubu has long been hard at work on developing its own state of the art, next generation streaming and video on demand platform which will be the new home of all CLG livestreams and video content. The platform is still in the development stage, with CLG working closely with Azubu to make sure its release is the best it can be. At launch, expect regularly scheduled livestream sessions from players and new content series with great emphasis on production value.
The key motivating factor behind this partnership is likeminded aspirations. CLG has decided to join forces with Azubu because both organizations share the same vision of growing eSports to compete with traditional sports such as Soccer, Baseball, and Football.
“Azubu has shown through their history and discussions with CLG that a partnership between our two organizations is a perfect match,” said George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis, Co-Founder and President of CLG. “Before CLG and League of Legends ever existed I believed in the potential of eSports and will always make efforts to help it to reach the level of exposure and recognition I think it deserves. I am serious when I say I appreciate all the efforts Azubu is contributing to eSports, even outside CLG. I think Azubu is taking the correct steps and making the right investments into eSports and I believe CLG can help them bring us all to the next level. We are excited to begin working together and showing what we can accomplish as a team.”
