LCS Week Three Highlights

vs Echo Fox - Already Won

Echo Fox never had, nor gave themselves the chance to win. Weakened by the plague of visa related issues that have sprung about the past couple weeks, Echo Fox prolonged the game as long as they could before ultimately giving way to Counter Logic Gaming's map pressure. It was a low kill, elongated game - not for the lack of trying on CLG's part. Echo Fox still had excellent wave clear with Viktor at the helm and were able to last up until 32 minute mark. CLG kept up constant pressure around the map, getting towers when possible, and staking their claim to areas on the map. After a well coordinated double knock up from Xmithie's Rek'sai and the combination of Stixxay and Aphromoo's utilization of Kalista's ultimate, CLG cracked open the game and took a game that was already theirs.

vs Renegades - More of the Same
Stats Page ] [ VoD ]

The second match of the week for Counter Logic Gaming was a little more exciting, a little less clean, but all in all ended up with a similar result as their game prior to it. CLG did not capitalize on the early momentum gained from a free first blood and for several minutes it looked as though the Renegades could keep up with them. Both teams made active plays and traded kills. But CLG were able to make the better mid game plays and rotations thanks in part due to the pressure dealt by CLG mid laner Huhi. Although he did not outright kill members of the Renegades, he constantly bursted members down allowing CLG to take objectives uncontested. When the Renegades were brave enough to teamfight or when CLG decided the time was opportune, Huhi's AoE burst instantly swung the teamfights in CLG's favor.
