Introducing CLG Academy: CS:GO

Counter Logic Gaming is excited to our announce our first academy team for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Please welcome Aproto, Cardiac, Char, djay, and MCS, formerly of the team Premier Rejects, to CLG Academy! As with CLG LoL Academy, the purpose of this new team is to help foster and develop rising talent. Although the players will be remote, we will be investing as many resources as possible to help them excel and progress as players. The team will have Corey "ruin" Hartog as their Head Coach and will also have access to all the main roster's resources. Those resources will include a strategic coach, player development coach, and analyst. The team, formerly known as "Premier Rejects", recently made playoffs and placed 5th in the ESEA Premier League. We believe that with additional infrastructure, they will be able to surpass that and look forward to watching them compete in Season 25 of ESEA Premier.

We are happy to have the CLG CS:GO Academy team on board with us, train, and compete to be the best players they can be. Please give them a warm welcome on social media!

"CLG is committed to assisting the growth and development of our players and the new CS:GO Academy team is no exception to that. The players will have opportunities to fill in for the main roster in the event of injuries, illness, or performance concerns. While the team has a lot of work ahead of them, we are confident that this group of players are committed to being the best CS:GO players. I am excited for them to join CLG and look forward to their development."

My name is Alex Protopapas and I am 17 years old. I've been playing Premier for about four seasons now and I am excited to open this new chapter in my life! I am the entry fragger for CLG Academy. I am currently in my senior year of high school and hope to make CS:GO my future. I am extremely proud of my team and  expect amazing things this upcoming season. I think our time with CLG will be amazing and excited to be apart of one the best esports organizations.

Victor "cardiac" Kwan

Hi guys, my name is Cardiac and I am the AWPer for the CLG Academy CS:GO team. Becoming a part of CLG is obviously an honour—we are infinitely grateful to have this family by our side as we embark on our journey to become the best CS:GO team in the world.

Tyler "Char" Wallace

I have been bouncing around the semi-pro CS scene for a while and am happy to have found a home with CLG. We are excited to work with them as they aid us in developing each player individually and the team as a whole. CLG provides a high level of professionalism, support, and infrastructure that will help propel us towards our shared goals. I'm extremely excited to join the CLG family and to hit the ground running.

My name is Jonathan "djay" Dallal, I'm 23 years old and I'm the In-Game Leader of CLG's CSGO Academy team. I began competing within the CS franchise in 2011 starting with CS 1.6 and transitioned to playing competitive CSGO in 2014. The journey has been a long and arduous one but I'm ecstatic to finally reach a level where I have the opportunity to pursue a full time career in gaming especially with the support of CLG and my fantastic teammates. Joining CLG in my eyes is a once in a lifetime event that I don't plan on taking lightly.

Michael "mcs" Sullivan

I am extremely honored to have an opportunity to be a part of the CLG family! I've been playing games with the N64 and Sega Dreamcast days. I eventually made my way into PC gaming during the Counter-Strike Source era and never turned back! A seasoned veteran of CS:GO since its beta, totaling over 5000 hours played. I'm 23, and have been playing Counter Strike since 2004. I expect amazing things to come in this season and am confident in my team. I'm ecstatic to have the opportunity to play for and represent the CLG family.

I played semi professionally for two years. Now that I'm in graduate school, I'm taking the next step in my career by becoming a head coach. I'm excited to share what I've learned with everyone in the CLG organization as well as my team.
