My name is Agulot, a Senior Systems Administrator with Riot. We are aware of lag issues that have recently affected our servers and wanted to take a moment to address the situation.
We have pinpointed an issue with a game data-logging setting as the primary cause of the lag and have resolved the problem. We are also looking into network-related problems which could have further worsened the situation, and will take steps to resolve them once they are better understood.
