    I'm sorry, this has probably been discussed a hundred times over.

    But i am sick of people going afk, having client issues or for what ever reason not being able able to make a sleection in champion select and being "randomed" a character.

    I can't see any benefits of this existing. If someone doesn't make a selection, kick them from the queue - particularly now given the proposal to the removal of queue dodging elo loss.

    Nobody wants to sit through a game having to play support anivia with smite and jungle runes and nobody wants to play a game with a support anivia with smite and jungle runes (i'm paraphrasing of course).

    As you folks have pointed out, there are indeed some good and simple fixes to this problem. That doesn't necessarily translate to the implementation being simple, however. Changes to the core game loop like this can be deceptively sensitive. Regardless of that, let me at least affirm that the value of these types of changes have not been lost on us. If there is an opportunity to provide a more detailed and meaningful update, I will be sure to keep you all posted

    He and I have been duo-laning against this issue like a couple pros, hoping to carry the player experience to the platinum tier. Cloth armor + caffeine pots. Sustain OP.

    Riot was a small company (and it still is), back in the early days we do not have the resource to implement a lot of small features like this, we are forced to deal with what we have in terms of engineering resources, what the game design and business requirements are at the moment and prioritize on features and bug fixes that are most important based on set of metrics. So whenever this “feature” come up and match against other more critical feature/bug fixes, this feature always get de-prioritized. This happened to the First Win of the Day Timer for a long time until we finally addressed the issue:

    As Riot Games grows in size, we will have extra engineering resource to deal with kind of issue in the future. One thing I can tell you is that, Riot Engineers are working very hard every day to make this game a better game for you.
