Addressing his Q doing little damage: Yes. This is entirely true. However, it's additional damage on top of his auto attacks, it doesn't get in the way of the AA animation if you time it properly. It's just a constant bonus damage in your fights.
I mean he's an awesome champion. He has a strong ability to cause confusion, separation, and I find that more than makes up for his "meh" damage. Would I be okay with some Hecarim buffs? Yeah, I don't see why not. Do I think he needs a complete overhaul or major buffs? Not really. At the moment I give him a 4 out of 10, assuming 5 is the ideal number for a champion to have. He is very slightly underpowered, nothing crazy.

I've found Hecarim to be extremely fun as well. Nothing beats charging at full speed behind the enemy with both ghost and his e on. And when they flash away? You use your ult to get back right on them.
My biggest problem with him currently is that he tends to fall low in mana and health while going through the early jungle and a good sized leash is necessary if you want to start with boots. Also, his damage is mediocre before he gets a sheen.
Despite these shortcoming, however, once you get your Randuins and one other high tier item he becomes pretty strong and very fun.#212 months ago
Is it your PERSONAL opinion (not the opinion of Riot games, necessarily..) that those shortcomings are enough to warrant another numbers buff?
That said, we're constantly keeping an eye on the situation of all the champions and that includes Hecarim.
