I've been experiencing major sound issues lately within game and have been searching for a fix for awhile now. I've even sent my computer into the manufacturer to see if they can deal with any issues that may be coming up. Initially I had sound AND video lag. Alienware replaced my video card, but I'm still having some sound issues. I'm pretty sure it's now a League only issue, and I'm trying to find a decent solution.

The Problem: I get repetitive stuttering on nearly all League noises while in game. I normally play with friends in the same room on the same internet connection with none of them having any issue or anything like it. My friend has an XPS with pretty much the same system specs, give or take a couple small details. (Will post system specs) I will normally get anything from Kill notices (An enemy has been slain) or game prompts (Your Turret has been destroyed) A few seconds after most of my friends in the same room have. and most of the time it will stutter and remain for a few seconds afterwards. Champions also seems to stutter or have audio problems. Things like Fizz yelling "SHA-ARK-ARK-ARK-ARK" or Yorick stuttering in his speech.

I have run defrags, systems clean-ups, done driver re-installs, and a complete re-install of windows, all while under the guidance of friends or family who deal with computers intricately. If anyone has run into a problem like this please let me know. I'd love to know what could possibly be causing this. It's pretty much league exclusive, it bleeds over to a couple other things, but it's so prominent with League and it stops me from playing most of the time.

    System Specs:
    Alienware M17X R3
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
    8 gigs ram
    Invidia Geforce GTX 560M
    IDT and Intel Sound card/chipset

    Hey Unholyaxeman666,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the audio. From what you describe this sounds like a hardware issue. But this is just my first thought. And I'm not an IT guy who knows it all, but hopefully I can help you get back to playing again.

I do have a couple questions that could help narrow it down if you can answer them please.

1.) Do you see any other performance problems? either visually, or gameplay wise with lag, etc at the same time you are having audio problems?

2.) Do you have this problem when you are the only one playing in the room? I.e. not with others on the same network?

3.) Are you running any other programs at the same time as League of Legends? Like skype? itunes? vent? etc? Sometime other programs that use the audio card at the same time can possibly impact the performance. Try running League of Legends by itself with nothing else in the background.

4.) You mentioned that it "bleeds over to a couple other things". Can you elaborate?

Let me know, and hopefully we can try to get you back to playing again.
